Frequently Asked Questions

Is this only for schools?

No. Schools are our first focus because that is where most families meet a fundraiser, but the same setup works for sports leagues, churches, scout troops and community groups.

Do we have to collect money?

No. Supporters pay online when they order. Exact payout details and terms will be confirmed before launch.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum to start, and no unsold coffee to deal with afterwards. We roast to order after you close.

What coffee is it?

Named-origin coffee, roasted to order in twelve-ounce bags, whole bean or ground. The launch selection includes a medium roast, a dark roast and a decaf. The label carries your organization's name and image.

What is pickup night?

One delivery to your organization, sorted by supporter, on a date you choose. Supporters collect their coffee from you, usually at an event you're already holding.

What if supporters live far away?

Choose ship-to-home, or offer both. Shipped orders go straight to the supporter with a tracking email. Buy four, shipping's free — the four-pack is the pack that ships; singles and two-packs are collected on pickup night. At launch we ship to Arizona addresses; supporters outside Arizona can order for pickup night.

How much does our organization receive?

32% of every pickup-night order and 20% of every four-pack shipped to a supporter's Arizona address. The smaller share on shipped orders is what pays for the free shipping. The exact dollars for your fundraiser are shown before you launch.

When are we paid?

Exact payout details and terms will be confirmed before launch.

Who is the seller? Do we have to handle sales tax?

The planned service would sell the coffee and handle the sale; your organization receives its share. (Tax handling is being confirmed before launch and this answer will be updated to match.)

Can each class or team have its own link?

The planned organizer tools include links for each class, team or troop, with orders grouped by link. These tools are not open yet.

How long should a fundraiser run?

Two to three weeks works for most groups: long enough to remind people once, short enough that it doesn't fade.

Can we run it again?

Repeat fundraisers are planned. You could consider a seasonal schedule that fits your group; repeat campaigns are not open yet.
