Is JoeFundMe open?
Not yet. JoeFundMe is a planned service; accounts and orders are not open yet. No sign-up or payment is collected here.
When will it launch?
We have not announced a launch date.
Is this only for schools?
No. Schools are our first focus, and the same planned setup would work for sports teams, churches, scout troops and community groups.
How would our organization raise money?
Supporters would buy coffee through your fundraiser link, and your organization would receive a planned share of the retail price: 32% on pickup-night orders, for all three packs, or 20% on four-packs shipped free to Arizona addresses. These are planned launch terms and may change before launch.
How much would our organization receive?
32% of the retail price on each pickup-night order, and 20% of the retail price on each four-pack shipped to a supporter's Arizona address. For pickup night that is $5.76 on a single, $10.88 on a two-pack and $20.48 on a four-pack; the planned share on a shipped four-pack is $12.80. The shipped share is planned lower to account for shipping and handling; there is no separate shipping charge to supporters and no second deduction from your share, and these planned terms depend on cost checks that are not finished yet. The exact dollars for your fundraiser would be shown before you launch; these are planned shares and orders are not open yet.
Do we have to collect money?
No. In the planned service, supporters would pay JoeFundMe online when they order. Your organization would not collect, hold or process payments. Exact payout details and terms will be confirmed before launch.
When would we be paid?

What would we need to set up to receive our share?
The planned process includes setting up a payout account with our payment provider and confirming your organization's tax details. Which steps would come before a fundraiser opens, and which before its share is paid, will be confirmed before launch. The organizer terms are still being written and are not final.
Can we set our own prices?
No. Every fundraiser would use the same prices: $18, $34 and $64. Organizers would not set prices, pack options or shares.
Could prices or shares change?
Yes, before launch. The prices and shares shown are the planned launch terms and may change before your fundraiser opens. The terms that would apply to a fundraiser would be confirmed to the organizer when it opens.
Who is the seller? Do we have to handle sales tax?
JoeFundMe would sell the coffee and handle the sale; your organization would receive its share. Prices are shown before any sales tax, and if tax applies it would be added on top of the price. (Tax handling is being confirmed before launch and this answer will be updated to match.)
What is pickup night?
Pickup night is the planned default. It is planned as one delivery to your organization, sorted by supporter, on a date you choose. Supporters would collect their coffee from you, usually at an event you're already holding. Your volunteers would look after the bags until then, hand them out, and check off each order in the planned organizer tools as it is picked up, so there is a record that the coffee reached its supporter.
Where would pickup night be available?
The pickup-night delivery area has not been confirmed yet.
What if a supporter doesn't collect their order?
Not decided yet. How long uncollected pickup orders would be held, how supporters would be contacted, and how those orders would be resolved are still being worked out.
What if supporters live far away?
Home delivery is the planned alternative to pickup night. Buy four, and shipping would be free to Arizona addresses: the four-pack is the only pack planned to ship, at the same $64 price. Singles and two-packs would be collected on pickup night. Shipping outside Arizona is not planned at launch.
Can one fundraiser offer both pickup night and home delivery?
Not decided yet.
Is there a minimum order?
The policy on any minimum-order requirement for organizers is not finalized yet. This page does not describe any rule that would cancel a fundraiser for having too few orders.
What coffee is it?
Named-origin coffee, planned to be roasted to order in twelve-ounce bags, with your organization's name and image on the label. Each label image would be checked before it is printed. The launch selection, including roasts and grind options, has not been finalized.
Where is the coffee from?
The launch origins have not been chosen yet.
Can each class or team have its own link?
The planned organizer tools include links for each class, team or troop, with orders grouped by link. These tools are not open yet.
How long should a fundraiser run?
Two to three weeks is the planned typical run: long enough to remind people once, short enough that it doesn't fade.
Can we run it again?
Repeat fundraisers are planned. You could consider a seasonal schedule that fits your group; repeat campaigns are not open yet.
What happens with refunds or card disputes?
Not decided in final form. Refunds and card disputes could affect your organization's share; the details will be in the organizer terms, which are not final.
